Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on December 2, 1981 . She raised in Kentwood (Louisiana). Britney was a dancer when she was a kid and won many competitions in gymnastics. But, more than anything, Britney loved to sing. When she was just eight, Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) however she was denied because of her age. It led her to an off-Broadway musical, "Ruthless", for a 2-year run as the main character. At 11 years old, she tried again for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). This time, she was an actor in the show along with other current stars, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. Her biggest breakthrough, however, came when she was signed as an artist with Jive Records in the late 90s. Britney was an enormous success following her first album, "Baby one more time." "...Baby another time" in 1999. She also sold 13 million copies (as as of July 2001), of her second album "Oops !...I did it Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has an older brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was the daughter of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to become a star. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) when she was eight. However she was not old enough to be considered a suitable candidate. Britney moved to New York with her mother and her baby sister. She appeared in a variety of TV advertisements and also served as the understudy of Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. She discovered her love for music and dance two years later, when she auditioned for the role of "Mickey Mouse", winning the part along with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
